Footmark Corporation (2006)
Client: Footmark Corporation
Footmark Corporation is a manufacturer of swim suits, which created the first swim caps for schools. This was a design renewal project for the Corporation's logo, as well as a structure-building project for its brand story and the design for the brand story booklet.
Footmark has a history of providing various useful products to society. Takahashi structured the brand story around its past products and the concepts behind them, and designed the booklet in an easy-to-follow format. As a result, the booklet became a story of product design as carried out by a responsible corporate citizen, including the details of the thoughts behind its works.
It was a project for which Takahashi, who advocates a spectrum of philosophies about how the art of design should incorporate "social design," made full use of those strengths. She believes that, based on natural ties between corporations and society, design can build up society, however unobtrusively, and aid in the development of corporations, brands, and commercial goods. Staying true to these philosophies, Takahashi renewed the logo for Footmark Corporation.
